Let's talk facts for a moment:

  • Men 55 - 74 have among the highest rates of suicide among all demographics, second only to men 85+.
  • Job loss, isolation, and perceived loss of usefulness are major contributors.
  • Many men do not communicate distress before an attempt, leading to the phrase “silent suffering” in mental health literature.

The Challenge: Why selling yourself is so hard

The solution seems pretty straightforward: get a job. But for many men who’ve worked all their lives, employment isn’t just a paycheck — it’s identity, purpose, and pride. But when that work ends — suddenly or not — they’re in unfamiliar territory: marketing themselves, writing resumes, pitching their worth . . . it doesn’t come naturally for many. In fact, it can feel like begging, not belonging. It’s not that they have nothing to offer — it’s that they’ve never had to sell it.

The Solution – Why Advocacy Works

That’s where someone like me steps in — not only as a recruiter, but as an agent and advocate. Someone who sees your strengths clearly, tells your story without apology, and connects you to opportunities that match your needs and value. I am the bridge between experienced men and companies that need reliable, capable workers. Advocacy works because it removes the discomfort of self-promotion and replaces it with confidence, credibility, and connection.
